I-95 NB Back Open This Morning After Fatal Wreck

UPDATE:  I-95 between Highway 204 and I-16 is now back open this morning after the fatal wreck.

I-95 northbound between Highway 204 and I-16 is still closed the morning after a fatal accident last night.  Georgia State Patrol tells News 3 six vehicles were involved.  It all started when a motorcycle and SUV collided on I-95 southbound.  The motorcycle then hit the median, ejecting the driver.  The motorcycle continued to travel over the median.  A tractor trailer hit the motorcycle on I-95 northbound and overturned.  Three other vehicles crashed trying to avoid the overturned tractor trailer.  One person died at the scene.  All other injuries are non life threatening.

    The Statesboro Police Department is trying to find a man accused of rape. Authorities responded to a call for sexual assault on Mikell Street last Saturday and determined the victim, a 24-year-old female who is mentally disabled, was raped. Police say the suspect is 35-year-old Clarence Hinson Lewis. If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Mr. Lewis, please call the Statesboro
