All lanes were closed for hours before reopening shortly after 9:30 a.m.

Over 4 inches of rain fell in Fayetteville Tuesday evening and there were even some reports of flooding in Fayetteville and Hope Mills.  Those storms moved out of the area overnight but, there's another risk for showers and storms around the Sandhills this afternoon as the rest of central North Carolina is expected to stay dry.
