Authorities say a tractor trailer hauling produce hit a small car carrier on southbound I-85 before flipping on its side and blocking all southbound lanes early Thursday morning.

The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being pinned. The driver of the small car carrier was treated at the scene by emergency personnel.

All lanes were closed for hours before reopening shortly after 9:30 a.m.

The clouds have definitely transitioned… from roll clouds due to convection up near Augusta. Now the clouds have moved out ahead of the deeper convection into a more stable environment in our area… taking on the wavy appearance. So you will see both roll cloud pics from back west… but what we are now seeing is wave asperatus clouds in our area.
