Update: Man Hurt in Motorcycle Accident Dies

SAVANNAH, GA -

SCMPD says that a man, seriously hurt Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of the motorcycle that he and a woman were riding on, has now died from his injuries.

The victim has identified as David Hardy, 63.  Sarah Napier, 73, received non-life threatening injuries in the crash, police said.

Investigators say the pair were trying to turn from Fort Argyle Road onto Old River Road when the motorcycle ran off the edge of the roadway.

Both passengers were thrown from the motorcycle, a Yamaha V-Star, officials said. 

The Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate the crash.
